My daughter and I spent a wonderful day here. The farm was fabulous. The ride that we went on with Mary was awesome!! We are considering purchasing one of her geldings, and possibly more. The horses are trained very well and have exceptional personalities. The training is perfect and you can tell that a lot of love and care has been given to each horse. We felt welcome and inviting. We will be visiting more frequently. I have visited alot of farms and this is my favorite, so far...good job to the Owens's for all of your hard work!!!!

Mary and Keith- Lisa and I want you to know how much we appreciate the way you have cared for our Romeo and Sully. I can't remember a time when I have worked with such considerate and accommodating people like you and your staff. When I speak of your care and professional skills it makes me feel that we have made the right choice with our purchase. I have visited other stables and have never come in contact with happier and healthier animals. We sometimes speak of moving them closer to home, but you make that a very hard decision. Thank you for your excellent service.

Hi Mary,

Just wanted to update you on our progress with Leigh. Briana had her out today on another ride and both of them did well. You have been great, not only training the horse, but working with us. Briana's riding skills have vastly improved and even though Leigh is young and quite stubborn, as you warned us up front, the training has paid off. We raised this horse from a baby, and knew we inadvertently spoiled her and needed some help to turn her around. We couldn't have gotten to where we are right now without your help. We are SO pleased with all you have done, and plan to get back out there next spring so we don't lose the ground we have gained with this horse. Thanks SO MUCH for being our horse trainer, riding instructor and a friend.

I purchased my first horse through Mary in June 2008. Dallas is a palomino saddlebred mare that Mary and Keith actually raised and trained. Mary took time out to meet me over at the previous owner's place and show me Dallas on an extremely windy day. Under Mary's guidance, Dallas remained calm. I was completely sold!
Not only did Mary spend time with Dallas and I that day, she boarded Dallas at her barn and gave me lessons until I was comfortable bringing her to my property. She also hauled my horses for me until I purchased my own trailer.
She also assisted me in my purchase of my black saddlebred mare in foal and even came over at 4 am to see the new colt this year.
After the purchase of my mare, she put more training on my daughter's pony. She was very cautious with him because she knew he was for a child. He has been wonderful for my daughter.
I can't thank Mary enough for all she has taught me and my horses.

Mary Owens has been training horses for us for at least the last eight years. If you are looking for someone to give your horses 100% in care, attention, training, and get the results you want, Mary is the one I would recommend. She has primarily worked with our American Saddlebreds but occasionally, a draft breed. She has broken a team to driive for us for our carriage business, training show horses, trail riding horses, and we have even send mares to her to breed to one of her stallions she has been standing. She has also helped us retrain problem horses such as ones that wouldn't load or haul easily. I would recommend her for any breed of horse training. She will treat you and your horse with patience and respect. Paula Gabel, Brighton-IL

Hi Mary & Keith,
Thanks so much for taking good care of my horses while they were boarded at your farm. You gave care to them if they were in injured and fed them quite well, even old momma looked good for her age. In 2006 you assisted us in picking up our pinto Saddlebred mare Cherokee Rain that was great, she is beautiful. You trained Freedom and worked on Indy for me and hopefully I will be getting a new foal from Hot Rod next spring out of Indy. Baylee has enjoyed getting lessons on Breeze and you have helped build her confidence with horses. Thank you for what you do and all you have done for us.

Keith & Mary Owens'

Wanted to let you know that last year in May of 2008 when we purchased Owens' The Boogieman we were so pleased with that little colt. Our dreams had come true of a wonderful, smart, beautiful, buckskin American Saddlebred. As life sometimes does, it dealt him the bad hand. You both took up the responsibility and did everything you could and provided him a chance with surgery and all the medical care he needed. It was hard to let him go but it was the right thing to do for him. A few months after his death you offered us another choice on your horses. Every time I visited your place there was a little filly who would come visit me at the fence. She would leave her pasture mates to come say Hi to me. Well that was an easy decision to make. I wanted Foxy. So to make her transition home easy for her you even let us borrow your Mare for 6 months to keep her company until Marybeth could find her first horse. That was super nice of you both to trust us with one of your horses at our home. Not only have you done these things but you have gone to the extent of helping and giving us advice over the phone if we had any issue that we had no experience with. You have helped us both so much and we appreciate each and every day we get with our horses.

Thanks again

Hi Mary!

Thanks for taking such good care of G. G. for us! GG was boarded with Mary for the whole year of 2008 and first of 2009. Mary bred her with her beautiful stallion Hot Rod and we got a gorgeous palomino colt!! We are very thankful for the good care you gave our GG girl and for hauling her to Ohio for us.

Hi Mary & Keith
I just wanted to stop in and tell you how much I have appreciated all your help. You have taught me so much and brought me closer to horses then I ever thought possible. From the moment of my first ride I knew I had a ton to learn. Especially on gaited horses. All it took was that glide ride that Breeze gives and I was hooked. The thrill is beyond words once you feel it. I may still be timid in certain situations but I will get there. You helped me with trying Stoney out and gave me your opinion that I value. I'm glad I have stuck it out with him. He is such a good horse.
I know Brian is super happy with Foxy. She is such a smart and loving horse. Always in our pockets when we come to the barn. She knows that white bags aren't scarey. She learned that watermelons come in them. tongue So don't be shocked if she thinks there is a treat in those white bags. This fall or winter we will be bringing her over for her 30 days of basic training. Thank you for becoming such good friends with us. We would be lost without your help.

Hi Mary,
Thanks so much for taking our horse in to train. Wow - what a difference this has made!!! Sure appreciate the time you spent with us too - the horse wasn't the only one who needed some help. This is something we have been looking for for YEARS and can't thank you enough for ALL you have done!! High recommendations for horse training and riding lessons - money well spent. We're close, so plan to stay in touch for a long time. Good luck at the State Fair this year!
Best Regards,
Kerry
